Hillsboro police report

May 9: Several bicycles were registered. An attempted suicide was reported in the 300 block of South Main Street, resulting in the victim being transported by ambulance to Hillsboro Community Medical Center.

May 10: Assistance was provided to watch possible severe weather. A possible Internet scam in the 200 block of South Date Street was reported. A traffic complaint was filed in the 100 block of North Cedar Street.

May 11: Officers assisted with traffic control with a detour in the 400 block of North Ash Street. A reckless driving complaint was filed at Oak and D streets. Trespassing was reported in the 300 block of North Birch Street.

May 12: Officers assisted with watching for possible severe weather. A dog complaint was filed in the 300 block of South Birch Street. Littering was checked in the 600 block of West Grand Avenue. Assistance was provided to Marion County Sheriff’s Department. A missing bicycle was reported in the 500 block of East C Street and was later located in the 500 block of East D Street.

Thursday: Suspicious activity was checked in the 600 block of West Grand Avenue. A dog complaint was filed in the 200 block of East Grand Avenue. A complaint of large truck traffic was filed at Lincoln and First streets. Another complaint of large trucks using an alley in the 100 block of North Main Street was filed. Assistance was provided to Kansas Highway Patrol with a vehicle stop. An activated commercial alarm was checked in the 300 block of North Ash Street.

Friday: A traffic obstruction was removed from Ash and D streets. Bicycles were registered. Hillsboro City Council packets were delivered.

Saturday: Missing property was reported in the 400 block of South Washington Street. A 911 disconnect was checked at Tabor College. A dog complaint was reported in the 400 block of West B Street. Charges are pending after assault and underage drinking was reported in the 200 block of South Main Street, resulting in one juvenile being transported to a hospital. A welfare check was provided in the 400 block of North Ash Street. Individuals were reportedly throwing water at pedestrians. A motorist received assistance in the 400 block of North Ash Street.
