Hillsboro schools to use city facilities
Hillsboro City Council has approved entering into a partnership with the Hillsboro school district to use its athletic facilities.
These facilities include tennis courts, a baseball field, and softball fields to serve the district’s physical education and extracurricular programs as well as the broader community.
The terms of the lease are for five years from June 1, 2025, to June 3, 2030, with an option to extend it for another five years.
The annual lease payment is $4,465 with a 2% increase every year.
The district will contribute 20% of the cost of approved capital improvement projects at the shared facilities.
Representatives from the city and school will meet each May to review the agreement.
