A whimsical and lively rendition of Dr. Seuss favorites was performed Thursday, Friday, and Saturday in Hillsboro High School auditorium.

“Suessical the Musical” incorporated all of Dr. Suess’ favorite characters and stories.

Characters included the Cat in the Hat, Jojo, Mayzie Labird, Sour Kangaroo, Gertrude McFuzz, Mrs. Mayor, Horton the Elephant, Mr. Mayor, Yertle the Turtle, Gereral Schmitz, Vlad Vladikoff, the Wichersham Brothers, Bird Girls, Whos, Cadets, Jungle citizens, Circus McGerkus, Hunches, Fish, Jelly fish, and Thing One and Thing Two.

Action started with Horton hearing a soft call for help and determined to find out where it came from.

He finally found the call for help came from a speck of dust on a flower.

Although other forest animals thought he was being ridiculous to care about the call, Horton told them, “A person’s a person, no matter how small.”
