The day’s events will start with a Christmas story walk at 8 a.m. in downtown Marion.
A Jingle Junk Christmas Decorations Sale will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Marion City Building’s ballroom. CB Baked Goods will have free sugar cookies, also from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
A nativity display is tentatively scheduled from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the ballroom of the Historic Elgin Hotel. More nativity sets are being sought for the display.
There will be free cocoa and brownies 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Cafe 256, as well as pinecone Christmas tree decorating.
Santa is scheduled to make two appearances Saturday. The first will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Marion City Library. He and Mrs. Claus will give sleigh rides from noon to 4 p.m. next to St. Luke Auxiliary Shoppe.
West Main Company will have door busters in addition to raffles and scratch tickets for prizes from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
A cookie swap is planned at 1 p.m. on the Elgin Hotel’s third floor, and more cookies and cocoa will be available from 4 to 5 p.m. at St. Luke Auxiliary.
Christmas ornament making will take place from 2 to 3 p.m. at The Elgin, and a live reindeer will be in the hotel’s parking lot from 3 to 5 p.m.
Events will wrap up with a 5 p.m. parade and the lighting of Main St.
Gene Winkler will have Christmas music playing until 5:30 p.m.
