Ida Svitak

Ida Rose Svitak, 92, of Pilsen, died May 19, 2009, at her daughter’s home in Marion.

Born Sept. 21, 1916, in Pilsen, she was the daughter of Adolph and Christina (Stika) Rudolph.

She was a homemaker.

On May 10, 1940, she married Ed W. Svitak at Florence.

Survivors include her husband of the home; two daughters, Judy Ekter of Portland, Ore., and Mary Ann Conyers of Marion; a sister, Jane Makovec of Marion; five grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

A rosary was recited Thursday at Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion.

A funeral Mass was Friday morning at Holy Family Parish, St. John Nepomucene Church in Pilsen.

Burial was in Pilsen Cemetery.

Memorial funds have been established with Father Kapaun Guild or Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in care of the funeral home.
