Bennett Franta

A memorial service will be scheduled later for Bennett Mark Franta, 62, El Dorado, who passed away Aug. 4, 2025, in Wichita.

Bennett was born March 29, 1963, in Marion to Lester and Mayme (Swelha) Franta.

He graduated from Circle High School in Towanda with the class of ’82 and took some college courses at Butler Community College.

Bennett worked as a sales representative for Miller Beer. When he wasn’t busy working, he loved spending free time hunting turkey and deer and fishing. He also loved to cook.

Bennett will be missed by all who were blessed to know him.

He is survived by his mother, Mayme Franta, of El Dorado; brother Timothy Franta (and wife D’Ann) of Derby; sister Kim Riemann of El Dorado; and niece and nephews Kiel Riemann (and wife Lindsey), Kent Riemann, and Danielle Brittain (and husband Ross).

Bennett was preceded in passing by his father.
