Calvin Kessler

Graveside services for Calvin Elton Kessler, 82, who died Feb. 5, 2022, at Newton Medical Center, will be 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18, 2022, at Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Peabody.

Born Sept. 2, 1939, in Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania, to Earl and Inez (Himes) Kessler, he is survived by his wife, Sharon Kessler; children Jenean Kessler, Shawn Kessler (and wife Janice), and Rayetta Kessler; step-children Tim Howell (and wife Diana), Connie Dutton (and husband Bill), and Rick Melott (and wife Kara); brother Richard Kessler (and Joyce); and sister Donna Boyer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepdaughter Renee Howell; and great-granddaughter Arianna Voth.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, 2022, at Petersen Funeral Home in Newton.

Memorial contributions in Calvin’s name may be made to the Midian Shriners for Planes of Mercy or to Avenue of Flags.
