Dolores Brooks

A memorial service for Dolores Elaine Brooks, 94, who passed away May 13, 2024, in El Dorado, took place at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 16, at Carlson Funeral Home, El Dorado.

Dolores was born March 22, 1930, in Ramona, to Daniel and Wanda (Hamm) Riffel.

She was a homemaker and spent time working in the kitchen at the Salina Country Club.

She enjoyed taking care of her family and was a proud member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Ramona.

She graduated with the Class of 1948 from Ramona High School. 

Her kind and loving heart will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.

She is survived by her sons, Robert (and wife Janice) Brooks and Michael (and wife Sandy) Brooks; her daughter, Lisa (and husband Rick) Bird; her sister, Dorothy (and husband Charles) Boettcher; and her grandchildren, Rebecca Brooks, Ashley Brooks, Renee Burris, Justin Brooks, and Mackenzie Cantwell.

Dolores was preceded in passing by her parents; her brothers, Burton Riffel, Alfred Riffel, Eldred Riffel, and Keith Riffel; and her grandson, Aaron Brooks. 

Memorial donations in her name may be directed towards the Kansas Humane Society.
