EXPANDED EULOGIES

Don Strotkamp

A celebration of life for Donald Ray Strotkamp, 69, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023, at Burns Cemetery. A lunch will follow at Burns Community Building.

Don was received into the arms of our loving Lord and Savior on Aug. 20, 2023, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Nov. 18, 1953, in Marion to Vernon and Bernice (Lea) Strotkamp.

Don was a proud U.S. Army veteran. He graduated from Butler County Community College and worked as a manufacturing engineer at Cessna Aircraft until his retirement in 2010.

Don was a passionate hunter, carpenter, and Republican. He loved his family fiercely, greatly impacting the lives of his four grandsons.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary (Scott) Strotkamp; daughters Cindy Tappan (and husband Brian) of Newton and Dawn Hacker (and husband Mark) of Burns; special nephew Robert Brickey (and wife Melissa) of Boss, Missouri; grandsons Jake Gunsch, Joshua Strotkamp (and wife Sydney), Zachary Gunsch, and
Noah Hacker (and wife Angel); granddaughter Adrianna Hacker; and great-granddaughters Rylee Ray and Charlee Faye Strotkamp.

He also is survived by his beloved sisters-in-law, Shirley Egner and Susan Thompson, and nephews Michael Strotkamp, P.J. Egner, Steven Egner and Johney Strotkamp.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to a memorial fund that has been established at Community National Bank, Burns, in care of Mary Strotkamp.
