Hank Berg

A graveside service for Henry Harvey “Hank” Berg, 75, who passed away Friday, April 26, 2024, at Halstead Health and Rehab after an illness of several months, was 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 3, at Highland Cemetery in Marion.

Henry was born Jan. 21, 1949, in Marion to Harold and Dorothy (Smith) Berg. He attended schools in Newton, mowed lawns for several years, and then held several custodial positions in Newton before retiring.

He moved to Halstead in 2015 and resided there until his passing.

Henry lived a simple life. He didn’t need much. If you knew him, then you knew that his favorite activities were watching car races and fishing.

Henry is survived by his brother, David, of Salina; his sister, Sherry Axsom, of Huntersville, North Carolina; several nieces, a nephew, and several cousins; and many people who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Dorothy Berg; his sisters, Carol Berg and Laura LeForce; and his nephews, Eric Wyant and Dustin LeForce.
