Jerald Skibbe

Private inurnment at Restlawn Garden of Memories, Newton, are planned for Jerald Duane Skibbe, 86, Greensburg, who died April 19, 2026, at Catholic Care Center, Bel Aire.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Fleener Funeral Home, 514 S. Main St., Greensburg.

Jerald was born Nov. 16, 1939, in Marion to Forrest and Alvina (Bernhardt) Skibbe and grew up on a farm near there.

Jerald became a teacher and enjoyed seeing students succeed and learn to think for themselves.

During the summers, he enjoyed helping others when needed and learning new teaching skills.

Jerald is survived by a sister, Jeannine Bateman, Marion, and a brother, Daryl Skibbe (and wife Connie), Newton. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law R.J. Bateman.
