John Stultz

Services for John Stanley Stultz Jr., 82, who passed away June 18, 2026, at his residence in McPherson, will be scheduled later.

John was born May 12, 1944, in Pittsburg to John Stultz Sr. and Gladys (Snyder) Stultz.

He attended Cherokee High School in Cherokee, graduating in 1962. He then enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserve, where he served honorably.

He was united in marriage in Marion to Barbara Jo Hunt. This union was blessed with the birth of a daughter, Tera Stultz.

John worked as a state trooper for Kansas Highway Patrol for 31 years until he retired. He then worked for the City of McPherson for several years.

John enjoyed being a gun collector, hunting, shooting, and spending time with his American Legion friends and his family.

He is survived by his daughter, Tera Stultz of McPherson; nephew Kenny Stultz Jr. (and wife Nancy) of Weir; and sisters Ruth Croker, Rita Narie, Norma Jean Craig, and Teresa Favaro.

His parents, brother Kenneth Eugene Stultz Sr., and sisters Rosalee Little, Connie Stultz, and Dorothy Mast preceded him in death.
