Naomi Daly
Naomi Joy Daly, 86, of Salina, died Dec. 19, 2009.
Naomi Joy Wagner was born Aug. 16, 1923, in Kingman, the daughter of Arthur D. and Lucinda J. (Kelly) Wagner.
She was a graduate of Kingman High School and attended Pratt Junior College.
She was united in marriage to the Rev. John N. Daly Jr. on Feb. 11, 1943, in Pratt. They were married for 62 years. He preceded her in death in 2005.
In 1980, she was in the first volunteer training class for Hospice of Salina, and was a volunteer for more than 28 years. She also volunteered for Hospice in Hays. Naomi worked as a bookkeeper with USD 393 in Solomon, Star Electric, the county treasurer’s offices in Saline and Pratt counties, Sellers Tractor Co., and retired from the Mowery Clinic in Salina.
She was a member of the Church of the Cross United Methodist Church in Salina, and also attended the First United Methodist Church in Salina.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, the Rev. John Daly; her parents; two sisters, Ruth Startz and Jeanette Wagner; and six brothers, Wilbur, Marvin, Robert, Raymond, Warren, and Dee Wagner.
She is survived by her daughters, Kim Fair and husband Randy Duncan of Brookville and Jill Millerskow and husband Duane of Mulvane; grandchildren, Kimberly Gillette of Mulvane, John David Millerskow of Denver, Michael Millerskow and wife Stacy of Wichita; great-grandchildren, Austin Craft, Jordan Craft, Tarynn Gillette of Mulvane, and Madison and Maggie Millerskow both of Wichita.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Dec. 23 at the Church of the Cross United Methodist Church.
