Vernon Koehn
Funeral service for Vernon Koehn, 90, who died Sunday, Dec. 18, 2022, at his rural Marion County residence, will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, 2022, at Eden Mennonite Church in Burns.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
Born Feb. 14, 1932, in Ingalls, Kansas, to Manno and Eve (Jantz) Koehn, he married Florene Smith, who preceded him in death in 2009.
Vernon was a longtime member of Eden Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, of rural Burns. He served the church in many capacities through the years including as a presiding minister.
He is survived by four daughters, Judy Koehn, Kathy Bender (and husband William), Wanda Koehn (and husband Renferd), and Janarro Jantz (and husband Kevin).
Other survivors include a brother, Walter Koehn, as well as 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Vernon was preceded in death by his parents, wife, five brothers, and a sister.
