Violet Richmond

A graveside service for Violet F. Richmond, 82, who passed away Dec. 10 at St. Luke Hospital in Marion, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Marion Cemetery. Masks will be required.

Born Feb. 14, 1938, at Lincolnville to Frank and Amelia (Holub) Franta, she married James L. Richmond on Feb. 20, 1960, in Pilsen.

Survivors include husband James L. Richmond of Marion; son Rick Richmond of Austin, Texas; daughter Jamie (and husband Bill) Shirley of Marion; grandchildren Torey (and wife Amber) Hett, Katlin (and husband Kyle) Perry, McKenzee Remmers, and Benjamin Richmond; and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Gerald and Arnold Franta.

A memorial has been established with St. Luke Hospital in care of Jost Funeral Home, PO Box 266, Hillsboro KS 67063.
