Irene Deason

Irene Fern Deason, 70, of rural Marion, died May 21, 2009, at her residence.

Born Feb. 21, 1939, she was the daughter of Lester and Ruby (Warndorf) Libertus.

She was a homemaker.

On July 26, 1976, she married Jack Deason in Cottonwood Falls. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Bruce Isenbrandt of Florida; three daughters, Crystal Johnson of Newton, Penny, and Verna; two brothers, Danny Libertus of Emporia and Jimmy Libertus of Arkansas; two sisters, Connie Van Rossen of Florida and Bonnie Green of Americus; and four grandchildren.

Graveside services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Claney Cemetery, rural Marion, with Pastor James Pohlman officiating.

A memorial fund has been established with Newton Caring Hands Humane Society.
