Jaci Burtin

Services for former Marion resident Jaci LeAnn Brooks Burtin, 51, who died July 9 in El Dorado, will be 2 p.m. Sept. 8 at Cottage House community room, Florence.

She was born Oct. 2, 1970, in Hillsboro, the second of twins born to Daryl and Ruth Richmond Brooks of Marion.

She graduated from Marion High School in 1989 and attended Emporia State University and Butler Community College. She was a school teacher.

She married Kelly Burtin May 6, 2001.

Survivors include her parents; twin sister Laci Bowles, Council Grove; stepdaughter Jenny Smith, Augusta; stepbrothers Kelly and Kevin Steiner; and four grandchildren.

Her infant son, Austen, and her husband preceded her in death.
