Jesse Clayton Richter, 91, of Peabody, died April 10 at his home.

He was born Nov. 18, 1919, on a farm northwest of Peabody to Alvin and Hester (DuBois) Richter.

He married Lila Schmidt on Nov. 4, 1949.

He was a retired farmer and a member of Aulne United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lila, of Peabody; a daughter, Sandra Murphree of Estes Park, Colo.; three sons, Jroy of Baxter Springs, Randy of Peabody, and Bradley of McPherson; a sister Esta Hall of Burns; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. April 30 at Aulne United Methodist Church.

Burial will be in Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Peabody.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church or Hospice Care of Kansas in care of Baker Funeral Home, Peabody.
