Jim Flaming

Hillsboro plumber Jim Flaming, 84, died Feb. 1 at Newton Medical Center.  

Flaming was born March 12, 1932, to Samuel and Agnes (Hiebert) Flaming of rural Goessel. He married Eulalia Regier in Hillsboro, where he owned Jim’s Plumbing.  

Survivors include wife Eulalia Flaming of Hillsboro; sons William Flaming, Hillsboro, and Stanley Flaming, Newton; daughters Cheryl Brandt, Hillsboro; Virginia Flaming, Newton; Shirley Esau, McPherson; and Susan Flaming and Vivian Picking, both of Salina; brothers Edward Flaming, Durham; Orville Flaming, Weatherford, Oklahoma; and Raymond Flaming; Washington; sister Rose Voth, Buffalo Mills, Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.  

Funeral services were Monday at First Mennonite Church in Hillsboro. They were preceded by interment at Haven of Rest Cemetery.

A memorial has been established with Rescare of Newton.
