Joel Hanneman, 94, died Dec. 22 in Hillsboro.

Born Oct. 12, 1915, in Peabody to Peter J. and Mary (Penner) Hanneman, he was married Jan. 24, 1940, to Dorothy Burgat in Newton.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of Hillsboro; two sons, Jim of Nathrop, Colo., and John of Lenexa; a daughter, Kay Epp of Bradshaw, Neb.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services were Tuesday at Hillsboro United Methodist Church with the Rev. Charles Grant officiating. Burial was at Haven of Rest Cemetery in rural Hillsboro.

A memorial fund has been established with the church.
