John Savoia

Services for John Savoia, 91, who died Saturday at Parkside Home in Hillsboro, will be 11 a.m. tomorrow at Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church in Hillsboro.

He was born June 5, 1927, in Piermont, New York. He married Lola Stratman on Dec. 11, 1981, in Hillsboro.

He is survived by his wife, Lola of Hillsboro; sons John S. Savoia of Boston, Massachusetts, and Timothy Savoia of Fresno, California; daughter Ruth Savoia Restrepo of Austin, Texas; stepsons, Robert Kim Washmon of Leadville, Colorado, and Gregory Washmon of Hillsboro; stepdaughters Terri Todd of Whitewater, Cynthia Fleming of Hillsboro, and Janis McIntyre of Edmond, Oklahoma; sisters Anna Lepori, Connie Dillon, and Etta Pippi; 13 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Daphyn Savoia and daughter Deboria Savoia Beman.
