Johnleen “Jackie” L. Carson, 41, of Herington died Aug. 31, at Herington Municipal Hospital.

She was born April 3, 1969 in Homestead, Fla., to John L. and Ellen L. (Cochran) Carson.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her mother, Ellen Elliott of Herington; her longtime companion, Howard O’Connor of Herington; three sons, John Carson, James “T.J.” Carson, and Jason Schlesener, of Herington; a stepdaughter, Chenoa Schlesener of Herington; a stepson, Jeremy Peckham of Hope; and 11 grandchildren.

She is also survived by two brothers: James Ray of Peabody and Eugene Ray Jr. of Purcell, Okla.; a sister, Donna Lee Rea of Abilene; two stepbrothers: Dennis Elliott and Shawn Michael Elliott, both of Virginia Beach, Va.; and two stepsisters: Renee Elliott of Florida and Regina Elliott of North Carolina.

A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Herington, with the Rev. Bill Peterson officiating. She was a homemaker.
