Joyce Unruh

Services for Joyce Unruh, 83, who died Thursday at Bethesda Home in Goessel, were scheduled for 11 a.m. today at Goessel Church with pastor Brad Penner officiating.

She was born Sept. 14, 1939, in Hillsboro to Albert and Irma (Richert) Duerksen.

She married Harold Unruh on Aug. 23, 1959, at Alexanderwohl Church near Goessel. He died in 2021. Sister Clarene Klassen also preceded her in death.

Survivors include sons Jeff Unruh of Walton and Mike Unruh of rural Goessel, brothers Dennis Duerksen of Goessel and Donley Duerksen of rural Goessel, sister Zenora Gard of Newton, four grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

A memorial has been established with Bethesda Home.
