Centre High School will host the Wheat State League Junior High School Tournament this week. Games will be on Thursday and Saturday.

Centre boys (4-3) are the third seed after beating Rural Vista (4-3) and Solomon (4-3) head-to-head. Goessel boys (2-5) are the sixth seed, and Peabody-Burns (0-7) is the eighth seed.

Centre girls (1-6) received the sixth seed in a drawing among Centre, Elyria, and Peabody-Burns. Goessel girls (7-0) have the top seed, and Peabody-Burns (1-6) is the eighth seed.

Centre girls will play Little River at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the main gym, followed by Centre boys vs. Goessel at 7:45 p.m.

Goessel girls will play Peabody-Burns at 6:30 p.m. in the second gym.

Girls’ semi-finals will be at 1 p.m. Saturday. Boys’ semi-finals will be at 2:15 p.m. Girls’ championship and third-place games will be at 3:30 p.m., and boys’ championship and third-place games will be at 4:45 p.m.

Admission is $4 for adults and $3 for students.
