According to owners Bennie and Cheryl Key, Key Convenience store in Lincolnville will close its doors Dec. 31.

Key gave no explanation for the impending closure.

Mayor Barbara Kaiser said the closure will affect the town somewhat. She said it may affect the young people in the town more than anyone else.

“Kids use it quite a bit,” she said.
