Marion Kiwanis Club heard several presentations in June.
On June 5, members heard reports about Chingawassa Days. Many club members serve on the Chingawassa Days committee, and the club served a pancake and sausage breakfast at the event.
Mary Hammond, governor-elect for the Kansas District, attended the June 12 meeting. Jeremiah Lange reported on Marion Presbyterian Church’s mission trip to Haiti and shared pictures.
Jennifer Fruechting and Elizabeth Goentzel spoke June 19 about their experiences at Girls State. The club sponsors two Girls State and Boys State students each year.
On June 25, members assisted with setup for a blood drive.
Casey Case spoke June 26 about a Senior Babe Ruth tournament July 5 through 10 in Marion. Greg Carlson spoke about a car show July 7.
Marion Kiwanis Club meets at noon Tuesdays.
