Howard and Shirley Klein

Couple married in 1953

Howard Klein and Shirley Kaiser married on June 17, 1953 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Durham.

Since their wedding, they have lived in New Mexico, Tonkawa, Okla., Meade, Caldwell, Abilene, Wellington, and Herington, where they currently reside.

Howard was born and raised in Marion. He was a depot agent for the Rock Island Railroad and clerk for the Cotton Belt/Southern Pacific Railroad before his retirement.

Shirley was born and raised in Durham. She is a homemaker.

They have three daughters, Joreen Jones of Aurora, Colo., Sandra Sutton of Abilene, and Diana Klein of Wellington. They have four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
