LaVerne Buchholz

Services for LaVerne Buchholz, 91, who died Feb. 12 at Bethesda Home in Goessel, were Monday at Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church in Hillsboro.

He was born Sept. 19, 1928, in WaKeeney, to Fred and Julia Buchholz.

LaVerne married Jane Surprise June 1, 1947, in WaKeeney. She survives along with son DeVerne Buchholz of rural Hillsboro; daughter Jan Frantz of rural Hillsboro; brother Duane Buchholz of WaKeeney; seven grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

His son Kirk; brothers Roy, Glenn, and Harry; and sisters Gladys Jameson and Irene Wheeler. preceded him in death.

A memorial has been established to Bethesda Home.
