Former Tampa resident Larry Mueller, 81, Iola, died Aug. 6.
Services were Friday at Grace Lutheran Church in Iola.
Born Jan. 9, 1933 in Tampa, the son of H.F.K. Mueller and Matilda Mueller, he graduated from Tampa High School and served in the Army from 1954 to 1956 where he was stationed in Japan.
After returning home, he worked as a salesman. He married Ruth Lueker in Wichita in 1958, and the couple moved to Iola in 1961. Later he worked at a flower shop and operated a dairy farm.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth; two sons, Tom Mueller and Scott Mueller of Iola; two daughters, Kim Howland of Lawrence and Susan Platt of Iola; three sisters, Agnes Steinert of Hutchinson, Paula Fike of Ramona, and Doris Ott of Golden, Missouri; 11 grandchildren; one step-grandchild; three great-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.
He is preceded by five brothers, Arnold, Erick, Werner, Lloyd, and Art; and one sister, Alice Winter.
Memorials have been established with Grace Lutheran Church.
