Lawrence Svoboda

Lawrence J. Svoboda, 79, of Lincolnville died Monday at Wichita. He was a lifetime resident of the area and a retired farmer.

He was born Sept. 7, 1934, at Lincolnville to Frank and Christine Reznicek Svoboda. He was a graduate from Lincolnville High School and a member of Holy Family Parish, St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Pilsen.

He married Delores Lambert on May 12, 1962, in Wichita.

He is survived by his wife, Delores, of the home; two sons, A.J. of Ramona and Patrick of Burrton; a daughter, Elaine Kickhaefer of Herington; a brother, John of Junction City; a sister, JoAnn Nowak of Pilsen; and seven grandchildren.

A rosary will be at 7 p.m. Friday, followed by visitation at 8:30 p.m. at Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the church in Pilsen.

A memorial fund has been established with the Father Kapaun Fund.
