Leadership class learns about county

Seven members of the Marion County Leadership class spent Thursday learning how county government works.

Dale Dalke, Roman Hofer, Tim Baxa, Lisa Schafer, Nina Carr, Sharon Dove, and Jarrod Youk are participating in the program through Nov. 30.

They visited with commissioners and officials from the clerk, treasurer, road and bridges, planning and zoning, attorney, park and lake, health, transfer station, aging, emergency management, sheriff,, and dispatch offices.

The course began Oct. 12. The group will talk with school superintendents Thursday and take a “When Everyone Leads” class in Wichita Nov. 14.

The class will hold a celebration of completing the program Nov. 30.
