Lee Shipman

Services for Ronald Lee Shipman, 57, who died May 12 at his home in Florence, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Marion Christian Church

Born May 17, 1967, in Newton to Ronald and Mary Lou (Slaughter) Shipman, he attended grade school and junior high in Florence and graduated in 1985 from Marion High School.

He worked for Raytheon / Beechcraft and Kansas Department of Transportation.

He married Amy Hansen on Sept. 15, 2012, at the Christian Church in Florence.

She survives along with his father, Ronald Shipman of Florence; children Andy Shipman of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Cody Shipman, Andy Hansen, and Danielle Graham of Wichita; and Josh, Christina, and Brandon Graham of Medicine Lodge; siblings Sandy Sprowls and Jimmy Shipman of Marion and Tammy Bremer and Ronda Drow of Florence; and 15 grandchildren.

His mother preceded him in death.

A memorial has been established with Florence Action Committee for horseshoe pits in his honor.
