LeRoy Riggs

H. LeRoy Riggs, 84, of Marion, died Jan. 21, 2009, at Memorial Hospital in McPherson.

Born Feb. 2, 1924, in Burns, he was the son of Glenn and Julia (Bolen) Riggs.

He married Norma L. Clark March 19, 1946, at Marion.

He was a Burns High School graduate and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired as cashier from Marion National Bank after 28 years of service.

Survivors include his wife of Marion; a brother, Carl Riggs of Burns; and a sister, Bernice Harms of Rio Hondo, Texas.

Services were Monday afternoon at Marion Christian Church with the Reverend Carl Helm officiating.

Burial was at Burns Township Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established with the church.
