Blood drive success

To the Editor,

The Marion High School Key Club would like to express our appreciation to all of those who made our American Red Cross Blood Drive a success. We had 38 students and 11 staff members as well as many community members donate enough to surpass our goal of 71 pints collected and qualify for $500 in scholarships.

Besides blood donors, it takes workers for the registration table, donor escorts, canteen attendants, and food donations to pull off this event. Special thanks to our school custodians for having the gym ready for us to use and cleaning up afterward.

We are proud to offer this community service and to help those in need of blood across our great country. The need is constant, and the gratification is instant.
