Road hire a payoff?

To the editor:

A recent job opening for Marion County assistant to road and bridge supervisor Randy Crawford had three applicants for this position.

The job was awarded to Larry Cushenbery.

Was Mr. Cushenbery elected to this position based on his excellent work performance, or as a reward for being Lori Lalouette-Crawford’s election treasurer and the lead person for her campaign as county commissioner?

Just asking, as many others in district 1 would like to know.
