Chingawassa great but loud

To the editor:

I would like to say thank you to all the merchants and volunteers who put on the Chingawassa Days. If you enjoyed the weekend, go thank them.

The one thing I was disappointed in was the sound system on Friday evening. It was so loud. It really ruined the programs. I grew up in the era of rock ’n’ roll and would have liked to have stayed but I could not stand how loud it was and I saw I wasn’t the only one.

The worst part is a local young man brought his friends here to entertain us and you couldn’t actually hear them. I put my hands over my ears, which cut out the blast of music that covered their voices, they sounded so good and their voices blended so well.

The committee should have walked around the park and discovered that the sound system was just too loud. I thought maybe it was just me but really heard a lot of complaints.

Thank goodness that it was cut down Saturday night. I really enjoyed the programs then. The Bellamy Brothers still sound good. The park was full and no one left.

Again thank you volunteers for all your time and work.
