MORE

TO THE EDITOR

The newspaper welcomes brief letters (generally no longer than 400 words) that express an opinion on a currently newsworthy topic. The writer’s contact information must be included for verification. Letters that contain defamatory comments, open letters, third-party letters, letters sent to more than one publication, and letters that would more appropriately be advertisements, including Cards of Thanks, are unlikely to be published.

Good Samaritans

To the editor:

We were on our way Friday from Wichita to a funeral at Ebenfeld Mennonite Brethren Church.

We turned from Indigo Road onto 150th Rd. and quite suddenly found ourselves immobilized in a tall snowdrift.

Even though we were in a four-wheel-drive Jeep, we could not move out of the drift.

A white Ram pickup with two men turned on our road and assisted us by pulling us out of the drift.

We took another route and were able to arrive and attend the full service for a beloved family member.

Thank you again to these two Good Samaritans for braving the frigid temperatures to assist us.
