Home is where the goods are
To the editor:
There are many good reasons for shopping at home, but today I had a real success story.
I need Dipel, a product that kills only specific bugs — in this case, to eliminate cabbage worms and bag worms.
I called A.W. Leonard, a national firm that handles good products and gives good service. Despite an Internet search, they could not locate what I wanted.
I also wanted a small weeding hoe, which was $14.95. Unfortunately, the shipping was to be $10.95. I have no idea what shipping method they planned to use.
I called Mark Whitney at Peabody Hardware, and he said he could certainly get the Dipel for me; how much did I want?
I took in my small hoe, which needed a new handle. While he did not have a new one, he could turn me a new handle.
Peabody still has much to offer — if we only look. Thanks, Mark.
