To the editor:

After several past and recent experiences with St. Luke Hospital, the staff, and local and visiting health care providers, I am so convinced that we are very fortunate to have quality health care available right here in Marion.

Not only is it convenient and close, it is exceptional.

Everyone is very qualified, caring, and willing to do everything possible to make sure patients’ needs are met. The ease and expediency of making appointments for office visits and tests is wonderful.

Test results come back quickly and are reported to the patient in a timely manner instead of having to wait for a very long time.

I am glad to be close to this care, especially in an emergency. We should not take this for granted. We need this to continue for our community.

I hope everyone will help in whatever way they can as the public capital campaign for hospital renovations begins.
