Oh dear, Santa

To the editor:

It seems that even the idea of children’s letters to Santa must pass Marion teachers’ political litmus tests.

One might have hoped that politics could have been set aside during Christmas, “for the children.”

It suggests that other political goals might also be taking priority over the kids. Inquiring minds want to know.

The more I learn about Marion, the more I begin to wonder if the citizens serve at the pleasure of the local Hottentots.
