Story helps to fill shelves at food bank

To the editor:

Following an article in the Marion County Record about the shortage of food at Marion County Emergency Food Bank with the dramatic photo of an empty refrigerator, individuals and groups have brought grocery items and donated money so we can continue to help families.

A former Marion resident, Debi Kreutzman, read the story online and offered help from the Kansas Food Bank in Wichita where she is employed.

This community has been supportive since the county food bank opened in 1985. We appreciate and value this support.
