Theft disturbs resident
To the editor:
We have lived in our home on South Coble Street for 30 years and take a great deal of pride in the landscaping and mowing of our grass. This has presented our property well to those who pass by.
Between July 29 and Aug. 5, our yard was invaded, and six solar lamps were removed from the property. These lamps served a very special purpose of enhancing our landscaping. We know these lamps were not expensive, but they did make our walkway most inviting.
I want to address the people of Marion, neighbors, and families that they should be alerted to this type of vandalism and theft in our community. Should anyone notice this additional lighting in their neighborhoods, call local law enforcement. A police report has been filed about this theft.
We must put a stop to this type of conduct within our community. This puts a black eye on the saying of “Marion, Kansas: Best Place I’ve Seen.”
