This past weekend a group of friends stayed at the Elgin Bed & Breakfast for a small weekend get-away. I just wanted to share with the people of Marion that we truly enjoyed your beautiful city.

The upkeep of your homes and property overall showed that you are proud of your city. We enjoyed the antique stores in your town and the kindness, humor, and friendliness of everyone.

The Elgin was a beautiful place to stay and our hostess was gracious.

On Sunday morning, I had the privilege of worshipping at the Valley United Methodist Church. Reverend Sue and the church family of Valley UMC had a meaningful celebration of worship on Sunday.

Everyone needs a church family and a church home and I hope the people of Marion realize that Valley UMC is a treasure of goodness and hope.
