Lois E. Jost, 94, died Jan. 9 at St. Luke Hospital, Marion.
She was born June 13, 1916, in Marion, to Joseph E. and Fay Ellen (Selvy) Scharenberg.
On Oct. 28, 1938, she married June Jost. He preceded her in death March 4, 2010.
She was a dispatcher and jail matron for the Marion County sheriff’s department.
Survivors include three daughters, Gaila Falls of Hot Springs, Ark., Donna Ames of Derby, and Rita Janzen of Sedgwick; a son, Dean of Minneapolis; two brothers, Orville Scharenberg of Mapleton and Leo Scharenberg of Hillsboro; a sister, Fern Jost of Kearney, Neb.; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services are at 2 p.m. today at Zeiner Funeral Home. Visitation will be noon until service time. The Rev. Vernon Bowers will officiate.
Burial will be in Marion Cemetery.
