Jennifer Sue Makovec and Paul Edward Forrester, both of Salina, were united in marriage in an evening ceremony Sept. 6, 2008, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Salina.

Parents of the bride are Robert and Carol Makovec of Ramona. The groom’s parents are Jim and Miriam Strasen of Great Bend and George and Alice Forrester of Council Grove.

Robyn Heitfield served her sister as matron of honor.

Best man was Matt Forrester, brother of the groom.

A reception was at Holiday Inn of Salina following the ceremony.

The couple honeymooned in San Diego, Calif.

The bride graduated from Centre High School and Emporia State University. She is a court services officer with the 28th Judicial District.

The groom graduated from Russell High School and Kansas State University. He is a lieutenant with Salina Police Department.

The couple is at home in Salina.
