Alicia Maloney, daughter of Brett and Mary Maloney of Florence, was selected as the contrabass clarinet player for the Kansas Music Education Association All-State Band.

The KMEA All-State Band consists of the finest high school musicians from the state of Kansas.

Maloney auditioned Jan. 7 in Salina and was notified of her selection for the band Jan.11. The concert will be Feb. 25 at the Century II Center in Wichita.
