IN MEMORIAM:   Margaret Conant

Margaret Mary Quinlan Fox Conant, affectionately known as “Peggy,” was born Aug. 22, 1922, in St. Mary’s, Kansas. After 92 blessed years of life, abundant love, and family, she returned home to her Heavenly Father on June 25, 2015.

She was reunited in Heaven with her parents, James John Quinlan and Edna Marie Brogden Quinlan; her son, Jack Dean Fox, and her beloved husband, Dale Price Conant.

She is survived by her son, John Larry Fox, and wife, Cheryl, of Montgomery, Texas; her sister, Dean Waugh, and husband, Elmer, of Slaton, Texas; as well as six grandchildren, Jack Fox, Marcy Haas, James Fox, Shannon Ligon, Stephanie Castleschouldt, and Shellie Winkler; nine great-grandchildren, Jessica Fox-Roubison, Kasey Grant, Megan Winkler, Austin Ligon, twins Ryan and Rylie Winkler, Morgan Ligon, Keaton Castleschouldt, and Brayden Winkler; one great-great-grandchild, Keslyn Roubison; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

Peggy served many years as a medical technician at Marion Hospital and Fort Riley military base. She was a gifted artist and was well known locally for her handcrafted talents. She enjoyed all types of crafts and stayed busy creating beauty for those around her. She greatly enjoyed learning new things; she was computer-savvy, and even embraced social media in her golden years.

Her church home was First Christian Church of Abilene, Kansas.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2015 at Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm St., Marion, Kansas.
