In a game where head coach Jeff McMillin said his team didn’t provide much resistance, the Warriors fell to the Sedgwick Cardinals 56-31.
“A team that really wasn’t that physical, we let them dictate how we played,” McMillin said.
McMillin said the Warriors’ disadvantage didn’t come from a tactical standpoint.
“I told them there is nothing we can do in the second half as far as switch this up or switch that up,” McMillin said. “It’s all about the level of emotion that you guys play with, the focus that you have.”
McMillin said the team wasn’t well prepared, which falls on not only the players, but the coaching staff as well.
Bret Voth led the Warriors with 11 points, Nicholas Stuchlik added 10, Dylan Pippin had 7, Jacob Baldwin had 6.
McMillin said Thursday will be the best practice of the team’s season. A rematch with Sedgwick looms Tuesday.
