Mid-June will bring two new dentists to take up practice in Marion.

Nolan Andrews and Michael Adams, both recent graduates of University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry in Lincoln, Nebraska, are joining R2 Centers for Dentistry.

Andrews will see patients in the Marion office 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays. Adams will occasionally see patients at Marion as well.

“I’m really excited to meet them and build relationships and friendships,” Andrews said.

Andrews said he grew up in Kearney, Nebraska. What initially attracted him to dentistry is that he’s a hockey fan and was interested in working on the teeth of players injured in the game. During dental training, he realized a general practice in dentistry would bring him into contact with more diversity, including a diversity of people.

Terra and Ty Ruesser, who operate R2 Centers for Dentistry at two locations in Wichita, purchased the former practice of longtime Marion dentist Gerald Vinduska and started seeing patients in Marion in July 2016.

With the Ruessers trading time in Marion between them, the office in Marion has been open sporadic hours. Now that the office will be staffed more regularly, new patients are being accepted.
