Marion girls defeat Haven, Centre teams come out on top
MHS boys fall short
The Lady Warriors came out on top Tuesday night against the Haven Wildcats, 57-47.
Down 26-16 going into the half, the team went on a 10-3 run in the third quarter.
MHS senior Lindsay Hett was a force to be reckoned with in the second half when she started the rally. She ended the game with 26 points , sinking eight free throws in a row.
The Lady Warriors forced 23 turnovers from Haven and committed only 13 of their own.
The MHS boys team did not end up on the winning end, falling to Haven, 64-34.
Wil Case led the Warriors with 14 points. Eric Vogel contributed 12 points and had seven rebounds.
Cougars defeat Hope
Both of the Centre High School basketball teams won Tuesday against Hope at home.
The Lady Cougars won a squeaker, 37-36, in the matchup.
The boys win was more decisive, with a final score of 52-38.
In junior varsity action, the boys lost, 55-49, and the girls also came up short, 18-14.
